Thank you BP, for giving us a chance to participate in this exciting and knowledge-filled event. We, the teachers of SK Bukit Sekilau; are looking forward to embarking on this journey.
Lots of ideas have been generated after much brainstorming amongst us teacher. As a result of this, we have come to a conclusion, and that is to initiate a project named the "Hill Shine Project". A number of teachers, each with his or her specific area of expertise; have been chosen to oversee this project.
In addition to this, students from various classes have been chosen to participate in programs such as the "Carbon Challenge" and "Sembang Sains". Needless to say, a large number of students from SK Bukit Sekilau have shown great excitement and eagerness to participate in the activities offered. In view of the overwhelming response, a competition will be held, where groups of six students will be required to compile and present a scrap book about "Carbon Footprint" and "Climate Change"

- Bangunan Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Sekilau telah disiapkan pembinaannya pada pertengahan penggal satu tahun 1980. Malangnya, oleh kerana ketiadaan perabot, SKBS hanya dapat beroperasi pada 5 Januari, 1981. Pelajar-pelajar perintis di institusi ini adalah 188 pelajar Darjah Satu (113 lelaki dan 75 perempuan). Pelajar-pelajar ini seterusnya ditempatkan dalam 5 kelas : 1 Bijak, 1 Pintar, 1 Rajin, 1 Cerdik dan 1 Usaha. Guru Besar pertama SKBS adalah Madam Chen Chin Fock (dari Sek Men Air Putih, Kuantan). Madam Chen kemudiannya bertukar ke Sek Keb Assunta, Kuantan pada 9 September, 1981. Sementara menunggu Guru Besar baru, Guru Penolong Kanan, En Abdul Hamid b Ali (dari SK Batu Lapan, Kuantan) telah memangku jawatan tersebut sehingga 31 December, 1981. Untuk maklumat selanjutnya, sila lihat 1981 : Staf Perintis SKBS. Perintis SKBS merupakan 9 staf academik (termasuk 2 pentadbir) dan 5 staf bukan akademik. Seterusnya, pada 4 Jun 1983, institusi ini telah dibuka secara rasmi oleh Encik Abdullah, wakil Menteri Besar Pahang.
